Little Thurrock is a three form-entry Community Primary School with twenty one classes. Each class has a maximum of 30 pupils. We are delighted that we aslo have a 52-place nursery as part of our school.
There has been a Primary school on this site since 1908 and the front part of the building dates from that time. The latest part of the school dates from 2006 when a classroom was added to the “bungalow block”.
Since becoming a three form-entry, each September the school admits 90 children to its 3 Reception classes. We have now finished extending the school and have an additional four classes which currently house the Year 6 children and one Year 3 class.
We have two school halls which are used for assemblies, lunches, PE and before and after school clubs, as well as a studio hall used for dance, music and drama. We have laptop trolleys dedicated to each Key Stage and also have desktop PCs around the school to help with ICT and other related activities.
We are very proud of our engaging and exciting curriculum; children at Little Thurrock receive a well rounded, culturally rich education that excites and promotes interest. Our children are always very proud to show visitors around so why not come for a visit and see for yourselves?
